The Honourable Susan Kiefel AC, Chief Justice of Australia, delivered her last public address in Sydney on Friday afternoon as part of the opening ceremony for the “Enduring Courts in Changing Times” conference.
The address, which took place at the Banco Court in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, was entitled “The Creation of the Supreme Courts of New South Wales and Van Dieman’s Land.” The Hon Alan Robertson SC, President of the Australian Academy of Law, chaired the lecture.
The event was free and open to the public, and no registration was required. A live broadcast was also available on YouTube, allowing those who were unable to attend in person to watch the address.
