From his humble beginnings in a Greek village to becoming a legal advocate for his family upon arriving in Melbourne, Justice Kyrou's journey has been driven by a deep understanding of the importance of rights and representation.

His passion for administrative law led him to excel academically, and his career as a solicitor and judge has been marked by a strong dedication to justice and accountability.

As head of the AAT, Justice Kyrou looks forward to shaping a new merits review system and contributing to meaningful reform in the realm of public administration.
