The College extends warm congratulations to Justice Emilios Kyrou AO on his dual appointment as a Judge of the Federal Court of Australia and as President of the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT), effective 9 June 2023.
Justice Kyrou has been a Judge of the Supreme Court of Victoria since 2008 and has served as a Judge of Appeal within its Court of Appeal since 2014.
Justice Kyrou is widely acknowledged for his integrity, legal excellence, independence, and intellectual capacity. With extensive experience in leadership, administration, and expertise in administrative law, he is highly regarded in his field. Justice Kyrou's exceptional contributions were recognised on Australia Day this year when he was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia for his distinguished service to the judiciary, the legal profession, professional associations, and the community.
