This National Judicial College of Australia (NJCA) program is delivered over two days – Parenting topics on Day 1 and Property topics on Day 2.
The purpose of the training is to enhance the competence and confidence of judicial officers to exercise their jurisdiction under the Family Law Act 1975. Judicial training in family law was recommended by the Family Law Council in its final report on families with complex needs and the intersection of the family law and child protection systems (Recommendation 15-2).
Access to the online eLearning Modules for parenting and property matters will be made available to Magistrates upon completion of this program.
