The ground-breaking collection of speeches, lectures, and interviews by Professor the Honourable Marilyn Warren AC KC, former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Victoria, is now available online.

The online collection, 'Doing Law and Justice - The Words of a Chief Justice', comprises around 200 speeches, lectures, and interviews given by Professor Warren during her tenure as Chief Justice from 2003 to 2017. This collection is the first of its kind in Australia and marks the first time a Chief Justice has ever donated a collection of this nature to any university. Professor Warren's words provide valuable insights into various aspects of court processes, sentencing, gender, technology, and much more.

Commenting on the collection, Professor Warren said,

"I especially hope the collection will interest the wider community in understanding the fundamental importance of courts and the rule of law to the preservation of a democratic society."

The collection was launched on Thursday 13th April by Professor Margaret Gardner AC, President and Vice-Chancellor of Monash University, and Professor Bryan Horrigan, Dean of the Faculty of Law at Monash. The online collection can be accessed via the link below. It offers a unique opportunity for legal professionals, academics, and students to gain insight into the inner workings of the judiciary and the complexities of the legal system.
