Chief Justice Anne Ferguson has delivered a speech on the rapidly evolving legal landscape at the Law Institute of Victoria's Essential Briefing on the State of the Profession.

The speech highlighted the need to adapt and evolve, building new skills and connecting with others, as the legal profession moves towards a future shaped by technology. The Chief Justice encouraged senior lawyers to take an active role in inspiring and engaging new lawyers, as well as looking after their own wellbeing. The speech also touched on the importance of sharing experiences and commissioned research into online hearings to establish an evidence base that will support the continued and best use of them.
