Justice Karin Emerton
Justice Karin Emerton was appointed President of the Court of Appeal in June 2022. Prior to this, Justice Emerton served as a Court of Appeal judge from 2018 to 2022. From 2009 to 2018, her Honour served as a judge in the Trial Division. During this time, her Honour was also a member of the Victorian Law Reform Commission (in 2010 and 2011). Before being appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court, Justice Emerton was Crown Counsel for over two years. Her Honour was appointed as Senior Counsel in 2007 after practising at the Victorian Bar for over 13 years.

The Hon. Patrick Keane AC KC
The Hon. Patrick Keane AC KC served as a Justice of the High Court of Australia from 2013 to 2022. Prior to this, he served as Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia from 2010 to 2013. From 2005 to 2010 he served as a Judge of the Court of Appeal of the Supreme Court of Queensland, and as Solicitor General for Queensland between 1992 and 2005.
