Judicial Induction
Two Year Induction Framework for New Appointees
The transition to the new judicial role is made easier and more effective thorough an induction process comprising three parts:
- Internal induction process-as arranged by each jurisdiction. The College provides a personal welcome, orientation to College programs and online resources on the judicial intranet, JOIN for each new judicial officer. Resources of particular relevance to the new appointee include videos of recent programs, Practice Pages and online manuals
- Orientation program, a face-to-face program attended within 6-12 months of appointment
- College cross-jurisdictional activities, to build skills, knowledge and understanding during the first two years.
The 2 minute video below shows a number of judicial officers talking about the value of judicial induction.
