College uses Web 2.0

By using Web 2.0 the College has increased the reach and timeliness of its educational resources.

The College website incorporates a number of features to ensure judicial officers and lawyers can keep abreast of changes to legislation, court processes and practice, easily, from both chambers and home.

The Web 2.0 features include:

  • RSS and email updates
  • Ability to comment on pages and to send pages to friends
  • View College videos
  • View and search online manuals
  • Online quizzes that provide users with immediate answers

 As an example the Uniform Evidence Resources include:

  • Online manual with commentary on the substantial sections of the Act, hyperlinks to reference sites, expandable sections covering statutory references, citations of relevant cases, search facility and a dictionary of terms
  • Overview Evidence document to read online or print for later use
  • Handy collection of flowcharts and checklists for quick reference
  • View a video on the scope of the Act
  • Multiple choice quizzes based on scenarios, with immediate feedback on the selected answers
  • Ability to comment on the website pages
  • RSS and email update service
  • Email a page to a friend
